Floral arrangement by Jan Barstad and found in Angie's kitchen . . .
This holiday season, I had the fabulous opportunity to tour a few homes of my friends and clients living here in McKinney. Their homes were dressed for the season and I was inspired by each of them. I wanted to share my Christmas tour with you . . .
The first house on the tour was the gorgeous home of the Cavalier family. My dear friend Angie has an incredible eye for detail and knows how to use "shabby" antiques to make her house feel warm and inviting. The shades of white mixed with vintage silver decor made it magical.
The second home on tour was of the wonderful and inspiring Laura Towery, of Dela Designs. Laura works as the general contractor and interior designer of incredible homes all over Dallas and surrounding areas, so it was a pleasure to see inside the doors of her own home.
The third stop on the tour was the home of Gayle Tate. She has recently moved into a gorgeous new house and is in the process of making it into her own. Her home is furnished with a wonderful collection of antique finds which give the new house it's character and uniqueness.
The last stop was at Dorie Helsley's home. Dorie owns the cutest clothing boutique on the McKinney downtown square, Cotton Hearts. Her home is as wonderful as her store, it was inviting, comfortable, and beautiful. I enjoyed her collections of antique English dishes and vintage Louis Vuitton . . . and you can only imagine her closet!
I thought I would end by sharing a few shots of my own home, decorated for the holidays.
I also want to take a moment to thank you for being a loyal reader of my blog and for all of the continued support at Patina Green. I wish you all a very merry holiday season and a happy new year!
