We wanted to start 2011 off with a fresh new look. In the last few days, we have rearranged, redecorated, and restocked the store. We brought in new one-of-a-kind items that have been waiting in our storage, and organized it all into four room settings.
From the center of the store, we made flag banners using old paper to create the look of a tent for a fun and unique start to 2011.
Behind the counter, this antique window was salvaged from a church in France. The weathered wood of the window frame is a perfect color on our reclaimed siding.

I love this room setting. The sofa is slip-covered in a gorgeous grayed sea foam color. The coffee table is made from reclaimed barn wood and the wall drying /cup rack is from France. The over scaled wicker baskets and the large kitchen cupboard, filled with vintage ironstone are both from England.

This dining room setting has some of my favorite upholstered pieces. The dining table is made from reclaimed barn wood and has a beautiful inlaid herringbone pattern. The slip-covered linen chairs go perfectly with the tufted linen banquette. At the ends of the table, we had vintage wing-back chairs reupholstered in the perfect stormy gray fabric. As the centerpiece, a pair of French concrete roosters make a statement.

We salvaged this antique painted fireplace mantle in hopes that it will be used again in a living room remodel. The mantle is stacked with leather bound books which have been tinted gray and embossed with gorgeous details.

I still find the color of tarnished silver beautiful, especially when grouped together to make a dramatic display. I love the contrast of the silver on the warm wood of the handmade plate rack.

In this group, the gorgeous, mocha, slip-covered sofa with it's white ruffled trim sits beautifully next to painted white furniture. The coffee table is handmade using old wood and the peely white paint is charming. The side table is also handmade with a painted wood top and metal base. The old iron gate on the wall could also be used a headboard.

In this last dining room setting, we played with white on white. The dining room table top is planks of reclaimed barn wood and sits upon a painted trestle base. Laced up slip-covered chairs surround the table, while layers of antique English cake pedestals and a collection of white architectural finials act as the centerpiece. The "buffet" table is an old factory piece with an added glass top for a unique piece of furniture. The buffet is dressed with an antique French Trumeau mirror and a selection of glass serving pieces. On the back wall, we installed a unique vintage candle sconce, and we found a re-wired old glass chandelier to give the room it's charm.

Our bath and soap department has been restocked and full again. We have new scents in our signature soy candles, as well as other candles poured into vintage collected snuff jars for a unique gift. Our favorite French soaps are piled high again . . . hope to see you in the store soon!

The center table on the third picture looks amazing! I love how everything come together. The amount of wood in the room definitely added a high level feeling of class and refinement to the room.
